Hello! Thank you for checking out Wish Jump! Wish Jump 2022 is the tenth annual skydiving fundraiser for Make-A-Wish® Northeast New York – the only ongoing skydiving fundraiser for a Make-A-Wish chapter in the country! 

In 2011, after finishing my first year as a volunteer wish granter with Make-A-Wish Northeast New York, I decided I wanted to organize a fundraiser for the chapter. I really wanted to do something with a little more excitement than a bake sale. Remembering the thrill of going skydiving in Hawaii a few years prior, it seemed like the perfect alternative to brownies and bundt cake! And now here we are, celebrating its 10 year anniversary!

Each year a team of Wish Jump participants (“Wish Jumpers”) spend a few months fundraising, and then everyone comes together at Skydive the Ranch to spend the day skydiving while family, friends, and spectators watch and cheer from the ground. Since 2011, over 100 Wish Jumpers, including chapter CEO William Trigg, Ph.D., (who has skydived EVERY year!) have participated in this event and have raised over $300,000! Funds raised are used for granting wishes to local wish children who live in the 518 region and who are living with critical illnesses. Our fundraising goal this year is $25,000.

Make-A-Wish Northeast New York grants the heartfelt wishes of children and teens living with critical illnesses, enhancing the child’s life experience with hope, strength, and joy.

Inspired by wish children and their families who bravely face fear and uncertainty every day, Wish Jumpers know that setting aside their own fears for one afternoon is only a small gesture to honor wish kids and their courage, and that raising money to help make wishes come true is at the heart of what Wish Jump is all about.
